Africare Community Services Inc. is undertaking a project called "Spectrum of Support: Advancing LGBTIQA+ Equity for African Migrants in Regional Victorian Communities". This project aims to enhance Africare's capacity to provide accessible and inclusive services for LGBTIQA+ African migrants living in regional Victoria.
Goal: Enhance Africare's support for LGBTIQA+ African migrants in regional Victoria.
Objectives:
1) Strengthen the cultural competency and inclusive practices of Africare's staff and volunteers to provide culturally appropriate support for LGBTIQA+ African migrants.
2) Create and implement tailored programs and support services to address the unique needs of LGBTIQA+ African migrants in regional Victoria.
3) Establish and expand partnerships with local organisations serving African and LGBTIQA+ communities to improve service coordination and reach.
4) Improve board governance through effective recruitment and development strategies.
5) Develop a comprehensive strategic plan to guide Africare's growth and development in serving LGBTIQA+ African migrants.Enhance technological capabilities and accessibility to better serve clients and improve organisational efficiency.
