Current Projects for Our Community

At Africare, we are dedicated to empowering our vibrant and diverse community through impactful programs and services.

This page highlights our ongoing initiatives, including peer support, cybersecurity education, and more. All designed to foster growth, connection, and resilience.

Amani Stronger: Free Peer Support Program

The Amani Stronger Peer Support Program is a community-focused initiative designed to empower individuals from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds living with disabilities, along with their carers and families.

Offering free and culturally inclusive services, the program fosters connection, understanding, and advocacy.

Participants benefit from support groups, one-on-one assistance, guidance in accessing services like the NDIS, and opportunities to connect with others who share similar journeys.

Amani Stronger is committed to promoting cultural respect, inclusivity, and resilience within CALD communities, ensuring everyone has access to the support they need to thrive.

Cybersecurity Awareness Workshops: Empowering CALD Communities

Africare Community Services proudly offers Cybersecurity Awareness Workshops, funded by the Australian Government, to support vulnerable groups, particularly African immigrants and CALD communities.

These workshops provide essential education on cyber risks, empowering participants to protect their personal information, navigate the digital world safely, and reduce cybercrime risks, fostering resilience and bridging the digital divide.
